NILES, Ohio - A major donation has been made to the Bo Rein Memorial Stadium renovation project.

Farmers National Bank, headquartered in Canfield, has made a gift of $17,500.

According to a release, the funds will be used to restore the stadium.

The Niles community is excited for September 13, when the school hosts West Branch and christen the new Bo Rein Stadium Eastwood Mall Field.

The renovations include turf, paving around the field, a new entrance way, a memorial wall and a new visitors side press box.

The $700,000 project is the third renovation in the stadiums 80 year history.

The improvements are being made possible by donations.

Booster officials hope to make more renovations in the future, such as a new building for locker rooms and the concession stand, as well as updating the press box.
