YSU ranks in Forbes Best Colleges for 2013

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown State University has been ranked as a top college.

The university was ranked as one of America's Top Colleges for 2013 by Forbes Magazine. YSU ranked 638 out of 650 this year, but was previously ranked at 604 in 2010, and 562 in 2009.

Forbes partners with the Center for College Affordability and Productivity for the rankings list, now in its sixth year.

Rankings for the colleges are formulated based on a number of factors including student satisfaction, post-graduate success, and graduation rate.

Other ranked colleges around the Valley this year include Kent State University, which ranked at 605, and the University of Akron, coming in at 585.
