Businessman makes donation to help Poland Police buy K-9

POLAND TWP., Ohio -The Poland Township Police department, is one step closer to adding a new K-9 to their department.

Mike Simon from Simon Enterprise, donated 13-thousand dollars to acquire a new dog. This isn't the first time Simon has donated money to acquire a dog for Poland Township Police.

Township Police Chief Brian Goodin tells 21 news, "We are looking at outfitting a new car, For that, fundraising would be around 24-thousand and probably five-thousand for the equipment.  For the K-9, you're looking at probably at 30 thousand."

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the program, can do so by sending a check to Poland Township
