Schwebel's recalls Golden Rich Buns

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Schwebel's Baking Company is recalling 18,979 twelve-pack bags of 18 oz. Schwebel's Baking Company Golden Rich Buns with "Best By" dates of Sept. 20, and Sept. 21, 2013 because they may contain undeclared egg.

People who have allergies to egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume products containing this ingredient.  This product can be identified by UPC Code #071319000838.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a portion of the production runs contained an incorrect back panel label for "Golden Rich" buns. This label does not list the presence of egg.

As of this date, there have been no adverse reaction complaints reported relating to this recall. The buns were distributed to stores in the following states: Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New York, West Virginia, and Michigan.

Consumers may return the product to the place where purchased for a full refund or replacement. Consumers with questions may contact Schwebel Baking Company at 1-800- 860-2867.
