Sharon celebrates second WaterFire event

Posted: Updated:

SHARON, Pa. - The community turned out in downtown Sharon Saturday night for the second WaterFire event. Once again, thousands came out to enjoy the experience.

People dressed in regalia from different countries are part of WorldFire Expo. An estimated crowd in excess of 10,000 came to the event.

For many in attendance, like Sharon Leckie of Sharon, it was their second experience with WaterFire. "If you want to smell and see and hear something that will just move you besides all of the other attractions, they've got going on here.. This is the place to come." said Leckie.

The people here like what WaterFire has done for the city of Sharon. " We need to capitalize on all this. To bring this kind of culture. This is so good for the people who work so hard." said Christine Martuccio of Sharon.

Taila Oden and her family are here a second time. She enjoyed all that the event had to offer. "I saw a lot of different cultures. It was fun. Especially the art museum that was really cool.", said Oden.

The third, and final WaterFire event of 2013 is scheduled for October 12.
