Suspects caught in daytime Warren burglary

WARREN, Ohio - Warren police chase down two suspects from daytime burglary in progress.

Darrell Sims, 43, of Warren, and Michael Saldana, 18, of Girard, are charged with burglary in the incident that happened at about 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Officers found the back door of the home kicked in when they arrived at the home in the 200 block of NE Garfield Drive. Upon entering the home, it was noticed the kitchen door was also kicked in and property was thrown everywhere throughout the house.

The homeowner in the 200 block of NE Garfield Drive told police that jewelry and valuable coins were missing from their home. The total value of the items taken is estimated at $2,000.
