Youngstown man accused of producing child pornography

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A federal indictment reveals new information about Youngstown man already accused of collecting and distributing child pornography.

A grand jury has handed up a four count indictment accusing Leslie James Coe of enticing a minor to engage in sexual conduct to produce pornographic images on two separate occasions.

The indictment alleges that the incidents occurred in 1998 and 2001.

Coe was also indicted for allegedly possessing and receiving child pornography.

Coe was arrested at his north side home in August after the FBI said that he downloaded video and images of male and female children ranging in age from infants to 17-years-old engaged in sexual activity; sometimes engaged in sex with adults.

After a detention hearing held on September 4, U.S. Magistrate George Limbert declared Coe a danger to society, refusing to release him from jail.

Judge Limbert noted that Coe was found to have pictures of himself and an 11-year-old boy with whom he admitted having a relationship twenty years ago.

Limbert also said hat the evidence against Coe is strong, noting that he faces five to twenty years in prison if convicted.
