Youngstown city school officials meet to improve school systems

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - School officials met Thursday evening to discuss changes that could be made to improve urban school systems.

The meeting was a partnership between YSU and Youngstown City Schools.

Those in attendance discussed the challenges and successes of urban school.

YSU President Randy Dunn attended the meeting.

"Whats most valuable is to share the successes of urban school districts with our alumni and the concerned people of the community. This audience will be full of people who really care about the education of all kids in the community," says Dean of Beeghly College of Education Charles Howell.

Some challenges faced by the districts include access to college and student indebtedness.
