The Davis Family YWCA 5th annual Afternoon of the Arts (10/6/13)

The Davis Family YMCA is holding its 5th annual Afternoon of the Arts at the McClurg Road facility in Boardman on Sunday, October 6th from 1-3 pm. At 1:30, there will be an awards ceremony for But I Know What I Like, an exhibition featuring 124 pieces of art submitted by 50 local artists.

The event, which is free and open to the community, will also feature artists at work, live performances, children's art and activities, light refreshments, a meditation walk and tea in the garden (weather permitting). Attendees will have the opportunity to add their fingerprints to the Global Art Project Peace Tree.

The Afternoon of the Arts is being held in conjunction with National YMCA Arts Week. The Y is committed to raising awareness of the importance of art and humanities to the mental, spiritual, physical, and economic well being of the community.
