WASHINGTON, D.C. - Republicans are trying to tie up the new health care reform law by making it a part of the budget debate.
Valley Congressman Bill Johnson spoke to 21 News from Washington and says new legislation asks for a compromise.
"The one we sent over yesterday was not a request that Obamacare be repealed. It was simply asking for a delay of the employee mandate or the individual mandate. Remember the president, by the stroke of a pen has already favored big business. He's already given big business and the employer mandate by waiving that for a year. We wanted the same fairness for the hard working people along eastern and southeastern Ohio," Johnson says.
