Posted: Updated:

MERCER, Pa. - A Mercer County woman is going to jail for stealing more than a million dollars from her employer.

Judge Thomas Dobson has sentenced 64-year-old Jeanne Zacherl to serve a prison term of one to five years.

Zacherl pleaded guilty to theft in August.

Police say Zacherl bilked her employer, Interstate Chemical Company, out of more than$1.1 million.

The East Lackawannock Township woman told police that she moved the money in lines of credit over a four years period, then gambled it away at Mountaineer Casino.
