New Castle police searching for suspect accused of armed robbery

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - Police are on the lookout for a man accused of armed robbery at Sheetz Convenience Store.

According to a police report, the suspect entered a Sheetz store in Slippery Rock Township just after 1 a.m. on Thursday carrying a fully loaded black pistol.

He held the clerk at gunpoint and demanded money. After receiving the undetermined amount of money, the suspect ran to his vehicle and fled.

Police say a witness was able to give a description of the car. It is unknown whether there were other passengers in the vehicle.

The suspect is described as:

  • Light-skinned, black male
  • Early 20s
  • 5'9", 150 pounds
  • Short black hair
  • Chin strap beard
  • Tan camouflage mask
  • Black hooded jacket
  • Black baggy pants
  • Black and white tennis shoes
  • Eyewear
