Former Liberty Metroplex to be sold at auction

Posted: Updated:

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The former Liberty Metroplex Hotel and Conference Center is going on the auction block.

Now known as the Roadway Inn and Suites, the full service hotel with 153 rooms sits on 11 acres of property on Motor Inn Drive.

The auction will take place from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on November 13, with an opening bid listed as $750,000.

According to the Trumbull County Auditor's web site, the property is owned by Aswin Ganapathy Hospitality Associates who acquired the property in 2009 for $900,000 from the previous owner, the Youngstown Hotel Association, which had paid $2.7 million for the facility.

The sale is being conducted by CBRE, a global real estate services company based in Los Angeles.
