YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Market Street variety store.

According to a police report, two suspects wearing red hoodies and bandanas over their face held up the Family Dollar Store at 2224 Market Street after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses say one of the suspects pulled out a gun and ordered everyone to get behind the counter; firing a shot into the air to make them move faster.

The suspects were in the building for only a few minutes, taking an undisclosed amount of money from a cash register as well as six packs of Newport cigarettes.

With the help of a K-9 dog from Struthers, police attempted to track the suspects, but were unsuccessful in locating them.

Police are looking at surveillance video of the incident in an attempt to identify the suspects.
