City of Campbell names new police chief

Posted: Updated:

CAMPBELL, Ohio - A new police chief will be sworn in for the city of Campbell.

Attorney and Interim Chief Drew Rauzan scored the highest on the civil service test out of three candidates.

Rauzan will officially begin his duties within the next 30 days, and says he's focused on maximizing the department's strengths.

"Cops do a thousand things a day, and a very small percentage could be donated toward traffic. We're donating a larger percentage to that, and we're finding more guns, more drugs, more people with warrants. It's a good thing for the city," says Rauzan.

The new Chief wants all Campbell officers to take a new oath as well.
