Ollie's Discount Bargain Outlet opens in Boardman Plaza

Posted: Updated:

BOARDMAN, Ohio - Ollie's Discount Bargain Outlet is celebrating the grand opening of it's third store in the Valley.

The new 32,000 square foot Ollie's is located in the former Linens & Things. With it's success at two other stores in Niles and New Castle, the company thinks Boardman is a good next step.

The Ollie's motto is Good Stuff Cheap.

"We buy cheap, we sell cheap; it's name brands at low prices, but the deal is you've got to get it today when you're here because it's not going to be here tomorrow" says Store Director Scott Osborne.

Osborne says that the new location will offer more than fifty new jobs.

"We're happy to provide 55 jobs for the Boardman area, and three team positions as well, so 58 total positions we hired from the surrounding area," says Osborne.

The Boardman Plaza was one of the first shopping plaza's in the country, but during the recent economic downturn it lost tenants.

The plaza currently has more than a dozen empty store spaces.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet will be open seven days a week.
