YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Liberty Middle School cheerleaders are teaming up with Bob Evans restaurant to raise money to help fight breast cancer.

Cheerleading advisor Dena Derenzis says members of the squad have been selling pink carnations at the school as part of the fundraising effort.

"We had a pink out game last week where we raised funds. The girls dedicated their half time performance to breast cancer survivors everywhere and we just do a lot for the community when it comes to breast care." said Derenzis.

All six local Bob Evans restaurants are donating 15 percent of their sales from each bill when a flyer is presented at check out.

The donation will be presented at the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority's pink ribbon cheer classic on October 27.

Last year, the Zetas donated $10,000 to the Joanie Abdu comprehensive breast care center.
