Groom arrested immediately after wedding in NE Pa.

KINGSTON, Pa. (AP) - A groom getting married in northeastern Pennsylvania was arrested in front of his new wife just after they said "I do."

Authorities say 24-year-old Delroy Toomer was arrested Friday at the office of District Judge Paul Roberts in Kingston, Luzerne County, immediately after the judge married Toomer to his bride, 26-year-old Angelic Yard.

Toomer had been wanted since July for allegedly threatening to kill his former girlfriend, who is the mother of his young child.

Court clerks discovered that the groom was a wanted man when they were filing the marriage license on a computer.

Instead of a honeymoon, Toomer was taken to the county prison and charged with harassment and making terroristic threats.

    People who get their water from the city of Hubbard are no longer  being asked to conserve water. An advisory was issued by City Service Director Daniel Livingston Thursday morning as crews repaired a break on the main water transmission line. Livingston announced Thursday afternoon that the advisory would be lifted at 7 pm. He says that the city will not issue a boil alert. More >>

The ribbon was cut Thursday, marking the official opening the German Church Road boat ramp at 15988 German Church Road, Atwater. Berlin Lake is one of the most popular boating and fishing lakes, not only in northeast Ohio, but the entire state, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
