Urban League president says Justice Dept. following investigation in shooting of Taemarr Walker

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The president of the Greater Warren-Youngstown Urban League hopes a definitive answer can be found in the fatal shooting of Taemarr Walker.

The 24-year-old's death is being investigated by the Ohio Attorney General's office because it was an on-duty officer who shot him.

Tom Conley appeared on WFMJ Weekend Today on Sunday morning to discuss the investigation of the shooting.

"I believe to this point that the police, that the administration I should say, they're transparent in what they're doing up to this point and my hope is that the conclusion of this investigation is without the shadow of a doubt so it doesn't leave any room for anybody to say no," Conley said.

Conley told 21 News that the Department of Justice contacted him on Thursday saying they were keeping an eye on the investigation.
