Agents arrest fugitive alleged sex offender from Poland

Posted: Updated:

POLAND, Ohio - Authorities have captured a Poland man accused of taking videos of young females engaged in sex acts.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Thomas Wilson at 3 a.m. Monday at a Poland Township Landfill.

The 47-year-old has been wanted since he failed to show up for last week's court hearing on charges of gross sexual imposition.

The U.S. Marshal's office says Wilson, who is a long haul trucker, was arrested in the sleeper cab of his truck as he waited for the landfill to open.

Members of the Task Force surrounded the sleeper cab of Wilson's truck and blocked it in with their cars to prevent him from attempting to flee.

He was arrested without incident and is currently in the Mahoning County Jail.
