Woman and four Youngstown teens charged with Boardman robbery

BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Five young people from Youngstown are in trouble with the law in Boardman.

Township police arrested five suspects ranging in age from 14 to 20 for an armed robbery.

Authorities tell 21 News that the group was walking along Prestwick Drive and Hudson Avenue late Saturday when they allegedly held a 17-year-old at gunpoint demanding that he give them his cell phone.

The police report states that when the victim did not comply, one of the suspects struck him with his fist, slightly grazing the victim's cheek.

The suspects ran away, but police caught up with them a short time later recovering a small silver pistol, bags of marijuana and cell phones.

The police report names the suspects:

  • Tyasia Boykin, 20, robbery complicity, contributing to delinquency
  • Daquan Lake, 14, armed robbery
  • Brandon Gallo, 15, robbery complicity
  • Damond Freeman, 16, aggravated robbery
  • Duane Eldridge, 16, armed robbery
