Trumbull County seeks grant to build natural gas station

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - The Trumbull County engineers office is given the go ahead to apply for a grant that would pay for a natural gas fueling station.

Trumbull County commissioners approved the application at its meeting Wednesday. The county would like to build the county's fuel station on North River Road.

The $750,000 state grant would be funded through the state's Capitol Budget if approved.

Commissioner Frank Fuda says the commissioners and the engineer's office plans to set aside a combined $250,000 annually, with the anticipation the state will also approve additional grant dollars for converting county vehicles to run on natural gas.
