15 to be inducted in Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame is inducting 15 members in a ceremony in Columbus.

The newest members of the Hall of Fame were to be inducted in a ceremony Thursday night at Veterans' Memorial Auditorium.

Hall officials say it was established to recognize Ohio veterans who put their skills and abilities to work in their local communities after their military service.

This year's inductees include veterans from various branches of the military, including the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and the Ohio Air National Guard. They include veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

The Hall of Fame is taking nominations for next year's class. The deadline to submit nominations for 2014 is June 30.
