KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - Kendrick Perry had 31 points, nine rebounds and seven assists at the Kennesaw State Tournament on Sunday to lead Youngstown State over Eastern Kentucky 75-67.

With the help of an 18-1 run, the Penguins (3-0) led 36-26 at the half and went ahead by 15 early in the second.

Eastern Kentucky (2-1) battled back and trailed only 66-64 with 3:14 to go. Perry scored five straight points to give the Penguins a 7-point lead with 1:13 left.

Ryan Weber added 17 points with nine rebounds and four 3-pointers for a Youngstown State team that coaches picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League.

EKU is picked to win the Ohio Valley Conference this year but had no answer for the Penguins' do-everything guard. Perry had 66 points, 18 rebounds and 17 assists over the three-game weekend.
