MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found after an apartment fire in western Pennsylvania.
Emergency crews in Crawford County were dispatched to the three-story apartment building in Meadville just after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Officials said the body of a 37-year-old man was found in one of the units. His name was not released pending notification of his relatives.
Coroner Scott Schell said the victim died of asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation, but he's also investigating other injuries on the body and awaiting toxicology tests.
Fire investigators are still trying to find out what started the blaze.
