Tree falls on house in Youngstown

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Strong winds caused a large tree limb to fall on a house on Mary Ann Lane just after 9 p.m. Sunday.

The tree limb smashed through an upstairs bedroom and trapped a woman for several minutes.

The woman's husband tells 21 News she was able to make it out safely. She was not injured.

The tree limb did damage the house, leaving a large hole in the upstairs bedroom area.

Neighbors are assisting the homeowners by laying out tarps to cover the hole from further storm damage.

Stay connected with 21 News and WFMJ.com for more storm damage  and severe weather updates throughout the evening.
