Buckeyes fans have a jumble of emotions about BCS

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Callers to Columbus sports-talk radio and those clicking on Ohio State fan sites can't figure out what the Buckeyes have done wrong.

Ever since Urban Meyer took over, they've won every game - 22 in a row, the longest streak in the nation. And still it doesn't look as if the Buckeyes can elbow their way into the BCS title game ahead of Alabama or Florida State.

The faithful's emotions are jumbled.

Some are angry, most are frustrated. But there's also an element of Buckeyes fans who well remember the lopsided losses in the national championship games after the 2006 and 2007 seasons - the former to a Florida team coached by, heaven forbid, Meyer - and those fans are content to just sit out this one.
