NEW INFORMATION: Campbell meth lab bust

Posted: Updated:

CAMPBELL, Ohio - New information on Saturday's mobile meth lab bust that injured several Campbell police officers.

The two people arrested are expected in court this week.

Three Campbell officers and a drug sniffing dog were injured when they were exposed to chemicals from the trunk of a silver Cavalier that was being used as a meth lab.

Thirty-year-old Jeremy Bowker and 36-year-old Jean Ann Hartzell will appear in Campbell court Tuesday charged with operating the meth lab.

This was the first mobile meth lab bust in the city.

"Northern Trumbull County has a growing epidemic actually and we're seeing it spread south unfortunately," said Ben Esposito with the Campbell Police Department.

"They mix it in their back seat or their trunk and on an as needed basis they take the finished product and sell it directly out of their car," said Drew Rauzan, Campbell Police Chief.

The three officers were treated and released for chemical burns to their airways. Canine Officer Storm is being monitored by a veterinarian.
