YSU coach and United Way distribute turkeys to local families

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown State University coach is working with the United Way to help local families in need this holiday season.

United Way and YSU head football coach Eric Wolford personally distributed 215 turkeys to provide a Thanksgiving dinner to local families who may not be able to afford one.

Coach Wolford and United Way also split the delivery costs of the turkeys. They partner together every year for the distribution.

The United Way works to provide holiday meals to families in need every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
