LeBron hosting Thanksgiving for Heat in Cleveland

Posted: Updated:

MIAMI (AP) - Playing on the road for Thanksgiving has a silver lining for the Miami Heat.

It means a holiday dinner at LeBron James' house.

The Heat play at Cleveland on Wednesday. They'll stay over and eat at James' on Thursday before flying out that night to Toronto.

Predictably, fans in Cleveland will make their hopes that the four-time NBA MVP returns next summer known, with a rally planned to get his attention. Whether or not it will work is anyone's guess, but James says he's aware of the plans.

And really, why wouldn't they want him back? It's early, but James is shooting better than ever from the field, 3-point range and the foul line.

For that, the Heat are indeed thankful. "Remarkable," Dwyane Wade says of James' start this season.
