Senator Brown co-sponsors federal law that would put EpiPens in classrooms

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON, DC - A new federal law will offer financial incentives to states that require schools to have EpiPens on hand.

U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown co-sponsored the federal law which will give funding for asthma control programs to states that ensure that all schools maintain an epinephrine supply.

"Our legislation pretty much says that the federal government will work with the states, encourage the states to place an EpiPen in every classroom," Brown said.

Right now, that's not the case in Ohio.

Senator Brown hopes the new law will change that.
