Fetus found at northeast Ohio wastewater plant

Posted: Updated:

SOLON, Ohio (AP) - Police in suburban Cleveland say they are looking for the mother of a human fetus found at the city's wastewater plant.

The Northeast Ohio Media Group reports that the county medical examiner on Monday said that the remains found at the Solon water reclamation plant were those of a non-viable fetus about 15 weeks old.

An employee at the plant found the fetus on Monday afternoon. The worker said the remains probably reached the plant through a residential line.

Police said they want to find the mother to make sure she has received the proper medical and psychological care.
