YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning County Educational Service Center received a $300,000 grant to provide home visits for pregnant women and mothers in Mahoning County.
The MCESC was awarded the Maternal and Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation grant for next year.
The grant covers home visits for any Mahoning County resident who is pregnant or has a child up to the age of five.
"The staff conducting the home visits are trained in the Growing Great Kid's curriculum and will be doing health and development screenings," says Kim Johnson, the Infant and Toddler supervisor at MCESC.
