Last cinema In Columbiana County closes

Posted: Updated:

SALEM, Ohio - There are no more first-run movie theaters in Columbiana County.

The Salem Twin Cinema Theater is now closed.  A posting on it's Facebook page includes a thank you to customers for years of support.

Long time Salem resident David Schwartz says it's a sad thing for the city and surrounding area.

"It was a great family affair. You could always count on seeing top notch first-run films in the week they came out all over the country, they came out in Salem to," Schwartz said.

The cloest theaters to Salem with daily first-run films are in Boardman and Alliance.
