YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - 21 Sports has learned that former Hickory football standout Deshawn Coleman could be enrolling at Youngstown State after the first of the year.

Coleman was a standout running back for the Hornets and rushed for more than 4,000 yards and scored 59 touchdowns before graduating in 2012.

He initially verballed to West Virginia, but ended up at Gannon this season where the NCAA declared him a partial qualifier and he was redshirted.

If Coleman decides on joining the Penguins, he would sit out 2014 and have three years of eligibility remaining.
