AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Austintown's police force grew by three on Monday.

It was a packed house as Adam Hess, David Yoman and Dominic Sachosy took their oaths at the township trustees meeting.

Two of the men will replace the officers moving into new positions as Austintown School resource officers.

The third man will take over for an officer who is retiring soon.

In Boardman, Chief George Brown welcomed two new recruits to the fire house.

Firefighters Joel Wharry and Stephen Robert Patrick were sworn in during Monday's trustees meeting.
