One person dead in Youngstown crash

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - One person is dead following a crash on the city's north side.

The crash happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning when one vehicle struck a pole at Martin Luther King and Division Street. 

The driver's name has not been released and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

After threatening to drop out of TAG in April, Ashtabula County Commissioners had a change of heart, and voted 2-to-1 on Thursday to stay. Ashtabula commissioners protested after Trumbull County Sheriff Paul Monroe replaced Jeff Orr with Tony Villanueva as TAG Commander.

    A man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for a deadly shooting at the Southern Tavern on Glenwood Avenue which happened in 2015. Thirty-seven year old Daniel Harris plead guilty to all of the charges against him in connection with the death of thirty-four year old Tony Brown.
