Ursuline's Durkin now going to Virginia Tech

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Ursuline quarterback Chris Durkin, who verballed to Michigan State prior to the start of the season, has decommitted from the Spartans and has pledged to Virginia Tech.

Durkin was a three year starter for the Irish and led them to two playoff appearances.

This season he ran for nearly 600 yards and passed for nearly the same.

According to internet reports, Durkin started talking to the Hokies two weeks ago and what attracted him was a chance to play early.
