Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - Kendrick Perry pumped in four 3-pointers and scored 19 points to spark Youngstown State to a 71-59 win over Bethune-Cookman Tuesday night.

Perry gave Youngstown State the lead for good with a 3-pointer five minutes into the contest and the Penguins gradually pulled away, building a 31-22 lead at halftime. Perry, the 2013-14 preseason Horizon League Player of the Year, entered the game with a four-game streak of games in which he scored at least 27 points.

Ryan Weber tossed in 16 points and Bobby Hain added 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Penguins (8-5), who lost back-to-back games coming into the contest, including a 91-73 loss at Pittsburgh Saturday.

Mikel Trapp and Malik Jackson scored 18 and 16 points, respectively, to lead Bethune-Cookman. Trapp also grabbed seven boards, sharing team-high honors with Travis Elliott.

The Wildcats (2-12) now have lost 10 straight games.
