Ohio man, 19, sentenced to prison for fatal crash

Posted: Updated:

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) - A 19-year-old southwest Ohio man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for causing a crash that killed an older couple.

A judge in Warren County Common Pleas Court in Lebanon sentenced Nicholas Alexander Powers of Camden on Wednesday.

Powers was convicted of aggravated vehicular homicide stemming from the June 28 crash that killed 69-year-old Glenn Pugh and his 64-year-old wife, Elaine Pugh.

Authorities say Powers was driving the car that slammed into the Camden couple's vehicle in Middletown. Authorities say the teen passed out while driving after inhaling dusting spray to get high.

Powers' attorney did not immediately return a call for comment Wednesday.
