Browns' Chudzinski: "I knew what I signed up for."

Posted: Updated:

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Browns coach Rob Chudzinski knows the pain Cleveland fans are feeling with their team tumbling once again. He's hurting, too.

Chudzinski grew up in Ohio rooting for the Browns, and the first-year coach understands the deep frustration that comes with consistent losing. The Browns (4-11) dropped their sixth straight game and lost for the ninth time in 10 on Sunday, 24-13 to the New York Jets. Chudzinski knew his first season with Cleveland would have its challenges. He said, "I knew what I signed up for."

Chudzinski bemoaned his defense's inability to protect a lead for the third straight week and identified the Browns' rushing defense as one of many "things we need to fix."

Despite the Browns' record, Chudzinski believes progress has been made and the team has a core to build on for the future.
