Santa delivers gifts in Youngstown on Christmas

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Santa makes a special stop in Youngstown after a long night of delivering gifts to children around the globe.

The man in the red suit brought gifts to children at the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley.

The Handle Bar and Animal Charity Humane Society joined forces to make sure children and their families enjoy this Christmas.

"We all take for granted we wake up in the morning in a warm house, warm bed, some people don't," Kenneth Bullen says, owner of The Handle Bar.

Bullen and his wife arrived with Santa in tow Christmas morning to help spread holiday cheer to families.

"It's nice for the children to get a present from Santa, so we brought Santa with us to make sure everyone got a good gift," Bullen says.

The mission says close to 40 people celebrated the holiday at the organization Wednesday morning.
"It's well worth it to see the kids open up the gifts and have a nice holiday," Jason Cooke says, with the Animal Humane Society Charity.
