BROOKFIELD, Ohio - A Brookfield man called 911 earlier this month demanding to be taken to jail.

Newton Falls police obliged Daniel Boone, Jr's request on December 10th after his third call to the 911 dispatch center.

Police reports show Boone told dispatchers he had warrants for his arrest and he was verbally abusive toward the dispatchers.

Turns out Boone did not have any warrants. He wanted to go to jail to stay away from heroin.

Police charged him with disrupting public services.
