Bucks County man, 83, dies clearing snow from car

Posted: Updated:

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. (AP) - Police say an elderly man collapsed and died while clearing snow from his car in Bucks County.

The Intelligencer of Doylestown says that efforts to revive 83-year-old John Diamond on Friday were unsuccessful.

Upper Southampton police Chief Ron MacPherson says Diamond was found face down in the snow.

The Philadelphia region received about six inches of snow from the storm.

On Thursday, a worker was killed in Bucks County when a huge pile of road salt collapsed on him, suffocating him, as the storm approached.
