Texting: Tighter family bonds?

Critics of texting have said for years that the technology ruins communication. But, a new University of Nebraska study says the opposite.

Researchers found that families talk more often over texts and in turn, get closer.

"It's made our relationship better because we talk more," Brenda Fredrickson said. "My daughter lives in Philadelphia and she's a nurse so she can't talk at work but she can send me quick text."

The study found that the family member who people text most is their mom.

    A special visit from President Trump attracted thousands to downtown Youngstown Tuesday, though not as many as initially expected. Early estimates based on online reservations through the Trump campaign projected nearly 20,000 people headed to the city, but realistically, fewer than 10,000 filled the Covelli Centre and its outdoor overflow viewing area.
