Youngstown woman charged with murdering infant

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning County Grand Jury on Thursday indicted 22-year-old Traniqua Floyd of Youngstown on charges of murder, felonious assault and endangering children.

According to the indictment, the Atkinson Avenue woman caused the death of Jamar Jones on December 12, 2013.

Jones was two months old at the time of his death.

Detectives investigating the case say the child suffered head trauma.

The coroner ruled the death a homicide

If convicted, Floyd could be sentenced to life in prison.
