NW Pa. man gets prison for 4 DUIs, 1 with kids

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Pa. (AP) - A northwestern Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for his fourth drunken driving charge in the last 10 years and related crimes, including two counts of child endangerment for having his two children in the car on the last occasion.

The (Warren) Times Observer reports 45-year-old Shawn Little, of Pittsfield, was sentenced Friday by a Warren County judge.

Little was arrested in August 2012 for drunken driving. The arrest was his eighth for drunken driving, though for sentencing purposes only those in the last 10 years are counted.

Warren County Judge Gregory Hammond tells Little that past punishment has focused on treatment for Little's drinking, but says, "Now I need to focus on the safety of the public, which unfortunately includes your children."
