Parole denied for man who raped impaired Warren woman

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A former Warren man who served time for raping a 62-year-old impaired woman, and was then sent back to prison, will not be released any time soon.

The Ohio Adult Parole Authority has decided to keep Terrance Stargell in prison until his next parole hearing.

The 45-year-old served 22 years behind bars for his 1987 rape conviction.  He was paroled in 2008.

But the following year Stargell  was sent back to serve his original 15 to 70 year sentence after violating his terms of parole by stalking a female co-worker and pulling a knife on a man who tried to intervene.

Stargell is scheduled to appear before the parole board again in October 2018.
