Posted: Updated:

SALEM, Ohio - Salem police say they expect to file charges against the relative of a victim of a weekend stabbing.

Police say they were called to a stabbing incident at a home on the 900 block of Home Circle at shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday.

Officers say they found the victim Josee R. Wilson, at a neighbor's residence. Wilson was suffering from several stab wounds. She was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where her condition is guarded.

The suspect, who police say is a family member, fled the scene, but was located an hour later in nearby neighborhood. The suspect was taken into custody and taken to the hospital for what police describe as several self inflicted cuts on both arms.

Police have not released the name of the suspect.
