Car slides into path of Howland school bus

HOWLAND TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Icy conditions may have played a part in an accident involving a car and a school bus just before 9:00 a.m. Thursday.

State Troopers tell 21 news that a car driven by 20-year-old Hanadee Yacoub slid past a stop sign at Altura Drive, and landed in the path of a school bus on Howland Wilson Road. The front of the bus and the side of Yacoub's car were damaged.

Yacoub and the bus driver received minor injuries according the patrol.

The 29 children on the bus, ranging in age from five to eight years old, were not injured. They were transferred to another bus and transported to school.
